Over the past two decades, AMDP has gained recognition as one of the foremost international conferences in advanced materials development and performance. The conference will continue its tradition of focusing on Advanced Materials, Performance, and their Applications.

This is the first time that we are organizing this conference in India, providing an interdisciplinary platform for researchers from all over the world to assemble in India and present their latest scientific innovations. The AMDP2017 will offer a forum for intellectually stimulating and engaging interactions among the leading academicians, scientists and research scholars working in various academic institutes, as well in industries worldwide. Your presence and participation to this conference will make it a thought-provoking and remarkable event. We hope that you will find this conference academically fruitful and gratifying.

Pune, located in heart of the Sahayadri Hills, near the west coast of India, is the cultural capital of Maharashtra State. It is the center for learning, an Information Technology (IT) hub, and a center of auto industries. The city is dotted with a number of universities, national laboratories and defence institutes. Pune offers much to visitors, delicious traditional food and a lot many historic places like Shaniwar Wada, Aga Khan Palace, Sinhgad Fort, etc. The city of Pune is 150 km from Mumbai, (economic capital of India) and, well connected to all major cities in India by air, road, and train. The weather in July is pleasant, pollution free with intermittent showers, maximum day time temperature ~ 26 to 28 deg celcius.

About AMDP

The 1st International Conference on Advanced Materials Development and Performance, AMDP, was founded in Auckland, 1997. AMDP has 20 years history, and has been organized by Six different Universities located in East Asia and Australasia. The key aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for the delegates to meet, interact and exchange new ideas on advanced materials development, performance and their applications. This conference covers a wide range of topics related to Materials Science Engineering and Technology.

We are pleased to announce that the 8th International Conference on Advanced Materials Development and Performance, AMDP2017 will be held in Pune, INDIA during July 11-15, 2017. We are planning to inaugurate AMDP2017 at the auspicious hands of Prof. Shuzi Nakamura, Nobel Laureate in Physics, 2014. In addition, there will be feature talks by eminent personalities from academics and industries on recent advances in the field of Materials Science Engineering and Technology. There will numerous sessions on thematic topics related to the Development and Performance of Advanced materials, where in addition to the Plenary and Invited talks, contributory oral presentations from the participants will be organized. Despite its truly interdisciplinary nature covering topics over a wider range, the AMDP2017 will include highly detailed discussions in many fields, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest cutting edge research of current interests. All accepted papers will be published in SCI (Science Citation Index) Journals having impact factors namely, Journal of Modern Physics B (World Scientific Publisher, Singapore), Indian Journal of Engineering and Materials Science, Indian Journal of Applied and Pure Physics (CSIR, India). In addition to this, some selected papers will be published in Recent Patents on Nanotechnology (Benthamscience.com) and Journal of Nanoengineering and Nanomanufacturing (www.aspbs.com/jnan).

  1. The 1st AMDP1997 was held in Auckland, New Zealand. The chairmen were Prof W. G. Ferguson and W. Gao (The Univ of Auckland).
  2. The 2nd AMDP1999 was held in Tokushima, Japan. The chairmen were Prof R. Murakami and I. Nakabayashi (The Univ of Tokushima).
  3. The 3rd AMDP2002 was held in Daegu, Korea. The chairman was Prof C.M. Suh (Kyungpook Nat’l Univ).

Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly known as University of Pune), is one of the premier universities in India. It has beautiful scenic campus spanning over about 411 acres. It is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. Amongst the Indian universities, the university attracts noticeable quantum of foreign students due to its excellent facilities.

Approach/Accessibility

Pune can be reached from almost all major cities of world via Mumbai or Delhi. You can fly to Mumbai and reach Pune by road or train (150 KMs, 2 hrs 30 minutes approximately.) else you can fly to Delhi and take connecting flight to Pune (1460 KMs, 2 hrs approximately).
